Seat-only travel operator Avro will be offering an additional charter to Antalya, in Turkey, this summer.

The added flight will operate on Wednesdays from 27 May to 18 October, and is the result of an increased demand for dynamic holiday packages to Turkey.

This new departure is in addition to the Sunday flight and the twice-weekly service from Manchester and departures from Birmingham where capacity has also been increased.

Avro will operate flights from Gatwick airport to Dalaman six days per week, with as many as three services daily, and from Manchester airport five days per week.

Services to Bodrum will also be available from Birmingham, Gatwick and Manchester airports.

Fares to Turkey start from £139 per person, which includes a baggage allowance of 20kg.

The managing director of the travel operator, Michael Vinales, said: “Turkey continues to thrive in the DP market as we are able to offer agents the good day time slots that families demand over the summer period. It’s also a destination which agents feel increasingly confident about booking as many repeat visitors know exactly which properties they want to book, making it easier for the agent to component package.”

Vinales added: “We have needed to increase our frequency as some families are looking for more flexible durations possibly to fit in more with their reduced budget. They may not be able to take that traditional 14 night break but they still want to travel.”
