Amadeus provides agents with health database

Amadeus, one of the world’s foremost providers of distribution and technology solutions for the travel industry has teamed up with HTH Worldwide to provide health and safety information about various destinations in the world that would be relevant to sales by its travel agent clients.

When a travel agent who uses the Amadeus system sells any part of a holiday to a customer, the customer will be able to choose to receive text messages or emails about the health and safety conditions in their destination. HTH says that according to its statistics, two out of three travellers experience a problem with their health on a trip that lasts more than three months.

Chief executive officer of HTH, Angelo Masciantonio says, ‘For HTH Worldwide, this is a great opportunity to partner with a global travel technology leader to expand the distribution of HTH Mobile Health subscriptions via travel professionals in North America. Amadeus recognizes the importance of HTH’s global health and safety information and how to best offer their agents seamless access to content that can add value.’
