AirBaltic and Brussels get together to widen air-net
Posted on: August 3rd, 2008 by Bobby V-JonesThe two prominent airlines, AirBaltic and Brussels Airlines have signed a partnership agreement to enhance the air network that would facilitate their customers. This deal will result in the increased number of air flights between African and European destinations. The customers of AirBaltic would draw more benefit out of this deal by getting better airfares from Brussels Airlines on different African and European destinations.
Undoubtedly, Brussel Airlines is the main air carrier in Belgium. It enjoys a large clientage and an unparallel reputation in the country. For this success, the credit goes to its predecessors, SN Brussels Airline and Sabena, earlier famous with the name of the long obsolete legacy carrier of Belgium. Right now also, Brussels Airlines covers some major destinations like Angola, Kenya, the Ivory Coast, Morocco, DR Congo, Sierra Leone, and Rwanda with their 30 European and 10 African routes.
Bertolt Flick from AirBaltic said to some of the news correspondents in a recent meeting that the deal would give a large coverage to the customers from both the airways. AirBaltic does not have flights running to Africa, but now due to this partnership, its customers can conveniently fly to these destinations. On the other hand, customers from Brussels Airlines can fly to some of the former Soviet States with more ease. He also said that there is no overlapping of routes between the two air carriers, yet the deal has taken place and would benefit both the ends in the near future.
