Aer Lingus announced new Sofia service
Posted on: June 15th, 2008 by Bobby V-JonesThe Irish national airline Aer Lingus will this autumn start running a new flight service to the capital of Bulgaria, Sofia. On October 28 services to the city in Eastern Europe will start, with the Dublin-based carrier operating this flight twice weekly.
Unveiling the new Sofia route comes on the day that the Irish national carrier launches its second Bulgarian flight destination, which connects Dublin to the popular holiday destination on the Black Sea, Bourgas.
This particular route will be available for just a limited period, with the final service scheduled to be operated on October 4.
The new flight service to the Bulgarian capital is part of the airline’s newly-introduced winter schedule from the Irish capital, which also features the reintroduction of routes to Agadir, Salzburg and Newcastle.
Commenting on Aer Lingus’ newly-unveiled flight schedule, airline representative Enda Corneille declared: “Aer Lingus is delighted to announce the second Bulgarian connection, as well as the re-introduction and extension of several of our flight services for the winter.
“The announcement made today demonstrates our company’s response to the continued passenger demand throughout our service network and is farther testament to our proposition of outstanding service and low fares.”
