A shiny new VW for customer number 1 million
Posted on: February 27th, 2008 by Dave BessThe budget airline easyJet and the Europcar car hire agency have been working together for some time, and the venture has proven to be a successful one. As the two companies combined business of car rentals, customer tallies are quickly approaching the 1 million rentals mark. To commemorate this milestone, the person who unwittingly becomes the one millionth customer will be the proud recipient of a brand new Volkswagen Eos Sport two litre vehicle with a sale price of £20,000.
The alliance between easyJet and Europcar began in 2003, with the initiation of a program where easyJet passengers had first crack at Europcar’s fleet of vehicles in destinations served by the airline; over 290 routes in 22 countries. An online booking system makes it easy for customers to book their flights and car rental at once from the same place, with a discounted price on the car.
Marie Barry, managing director at Europcar says, “Both partners share a common goal of providing customers with cost effective pricing and excellent customer service and we are very excited to be able to offer this fantastic prize to mark this significant milestone in our ongoing partnership.”

Nice car to give away for the one millionth customer, this way no-one can deliberately try and be that number cos it’s nigh on impossible to actually be that number - unless you actually work for VW or Easy jet
