A hotel for you and your dog

The world’s newest Westin Hotel, to be opened in Lombard, Illonois, this August, has a special program, just for dogs. The 150th Westin will allow dogs under 40 pounds and will consider dogs over 40 pounds on a case by case basis. Dogs which assist people with disabilities are always welcome at the hotel.

Travellers with pets can reserve a Heavenly Dog Bed at the same time they call to make their own Heavenly Bed reservation. In addition to the dog’s bed, the hotel will provide bowls for food and water, a floor mat, a sign indicating there is a dog in the room and a welcome kit. The welcome kit provides information about the hotel’s pet related services including how to order dog food through the hotel.

The concierge at the Westin Lombard will be able to advise on the best places to walk the dog, the nearest dog friendly parks, veterinarians available at any time of day, same-day pet grooming services and the best pet stores.

Those who wish to take advantage of the dog service must leave a credit card number with the hotel in case of damages to the room.

The Westin Lombard is 16 miles from the O’Hare International Airport and contains 500 rooms and suites, a fully-equipped business center, club lounge, an indoor pool and a Reebok gym.
