An AP report has identified a cruise ship just off the east coast of America which ran aground. Passengers were forced to evacuate the vessel.

The ship, The Spirit of Nantucket, began taking in water. As a safety measure, the captail ran the boat into ground in order to prevent it from sinking. There were 66 passengers on board who were evacuated. No one had any injuries and the passengers enjoyed breakfast while they waited for rescue, according to the US Coast Guard.

After leaving the ship, passengers were moved to a ferry landing nearby and then transferred to a hotel.

Damage on the boat which was in the middle of a ten day cruise from Alexandria, Virginia, to Charleston, South Carolina, is still being assessed by the company.
