44 Injured in American Airlines Crash

The aircraft, which is believed to have 150 people aboard at the time of the incident, missed the runway at Norman Manley International Airport.
According to the BBC, 44 people were rushed to the hospital after the plane split in half after the pilot overshot the runway at the Jamaican airport. Reportedly, four of the individuals taken to the hospital are in serious conditions. The plane stopped just short of the beach after missing the runway, and American Airlines officials have said that the impact caused the right engine to break off the plane.
The plane, a Boeing 737, was nearly full when it took off from Miami, and the injured individuals have since been transported to Kingston Public Hospital in Jamaica. So far, there have been no reports indicating any causalities as a result of the incident.
According to the Jamaican Observer, the American Airlines flight arrived against pouring rain at 10PM in the evening and then overshot the runaway at the Kingston Norman Manley International Airport. No further details have yet been released as to the conditions of the 44 injured.
In an unrelated incident, Ryanair also had an incident at the Glasgow Prestwick Airport. The Ryanair plane overshot the runway as well when coming into land. This incident, however, did not result in any injuries. The UK and surrounding areas has been under heavy onslaught with snowfall over the last several days shutting down railways, airports, and roads across the continent.
