2007 Airline Oscars

The event is put on by OAG, a world-wide travel and transportation information centre for both travelers and airlines. At the “Airline of the Year Awards,” winners are determined by votes cast from the company’s customer base.
This year the winner of the Airline of Year was British Airways. BA also took away the prize for the Best Airline Based in West Europe.
Other award winners were:
- Best Low Cost/No Frills Airline: JetBlue
- Best Airline Based in North America: Continental Airlines
- Best Airline Based in Central/South America & Caribbean: Aeromexico
- Best Airline Based in Asia: Singapore Airlines
- Best Airline Based in Australasia/Pacific: Qantas
- Best Airline Based in Central/Eastern Europe: CSA Czech Airlines
- Best Airline Based in Africa: South African Airways
- Best Airline Based in the Middle East & Indian Sub-Continent: Emirates
- Best Economy/Coach Class: Korean Air
- Best Airport: Seoul Incheon International
