The hype, the controversy, the delays and the buzz will all come to a head on October 25th, when the Singapore Airlines owned Airbus A380 will fly to Sydney, Australia.  This marks the very first commercial flight to use the long-awaited superjumbo.

Tickets for the inaugural flight of the world’s biggest passenger aircraft have gone quick, and most of us don’t want to know how much a seat on this flight will go for.  This goes double once it becomes known that an Australian man has forked out $100,000 for two tickets in the first –class cabin on the special flight. The tickets were procured in a charity auction by Julian Hayward, an Australian businessman.

Though this must be the highest price paid for a ticket on the plane to date, all tickets for the flight have been put up on ebay and are available to the highest bidder. The bidding for the 471 seats will close on September 10th.
