Type of Museum: Art and Historical Building
The Bromham Mill and Gallery is best known as a historical building, but it also holds a veritable collection of artworks that may interest any art aficionado. Although it has become a venue of different arts and crafts activities where people can gain inspiration to learn something new, since it was restored, the importance of the place as a gallery cannot be overlooked.
This riverside heritage building now houses one of the best showing spaces in Bedford, showcasing a great range of art and craft displays created by leading artists in the region. Aside from these artworks, the Bromham Mill and Gallery is also known to host national touring shows occasionally. Those who would want to bring some of the artworks home with them can choose from the textiles, glass, paintings and ceramics that are normally sold in its shop.
Entry to the museum requires a small admission fee of 2.50 pounds and a season ticket is available as well. However, for families, there is a family ticket that cost five pounds. These admission charges cover the chance to see the restored watermill. During holidays and Sundays, many artistically-themed activities take place in the mill and gallery, which can be enjoyed by everyone, especially those coming in groups.
