This restaurant has been around for three generations, a passing down from father to son as they say. The area around the restaurant went into renovation in the early 1930s. With this in mind, the owners of the restaurant also went with the change, thus, the new look which was highly welcomed by the new comers and the regulars.
The Garnier is one of the famous restaurants in Paris which serves delicacies from the sea. The interior of the restaurant speaks of a transatlantic design promoting comfort complete with couches, alcoves and mirrors everywhere.
The mix of different seafood makes the dining experience a gastronomic masterpiece. There are two options that the chef suggests for the gourmet menu. The first option starts with a glass of white wine and some chosen appetizers. Then, the crab meat and avocado cream, a perfect teaser for the upcoming main course. In the main course, you can enjoy grilled royal sea bream with white sauce and orange flavored carrots. If red meat is more your preference, then you can have the grilled beef fillet with pepper sauce and traditional bacon and potatoes. The second option under the gourmet menu would be more of a seafood platter. You start off with white wine and some appetizers with the “total sea” platter as the main course composed of assorted pieces of seafood like oysters, prawns; a half serving of crab, scallops, clams and whelks.
The Garnier keeps to its traditional seafood delicacies and will do so in the future because of its continuing popularity.
