The Blue Triangle buses from the London Central and London General companies provide a most convenient and affordable way for people to travel in London. There are more than a thousand buses operating within the city everyday. These buses run on a few hundred routes which cover almost every part of the city of London. The Blue Triangle buses collectively bring more than 260 million commuters to their destinations annually, and this figure is rising every year.
In London Central alone, the company has over 600 buses that carry passengers to and from Bexleyheath, Camberwell, Peckham, and New Cross. In London’s southwest and central, there are around 700 buses going around Merton, Putney, Stockwell, Sutton, and Waterloo. These buses are environmentally friendly as they follow emission standards and they run on ultra low sulphur diesel. The Blue Triangle buses can also be hired for special events such as weddings, parties and other occasions.
The London Central and London General are two companies that were founded back in the year 1989. They were formed by an older bus company, the London General Omnibus Company Limited or LGOC, in preparation for the privatization of the London Buses Limited. LGOC was more popularly called the “General”, and it has been operating since the year 1933.
