After hours of sightseeing, a perfect end to the day is relaxation. At the top of this list is the vibrant town of Margate. There are the pristine beaches, where one can soak up the last rays of the sun and let the world pass by. As night falls, the city really comes to life. To escape tourist life for a day, visit the quieter towns, located in Kent’s hinterland and southern coastline. A great place to escape is Royal Tumbridge Wells for a relaxing spa retreat. Romney and Denge marshes are the pathway to the coastal resort of Hythe. Historical military ties are evident in the Royal Military Canal and Martello Towers.
