London City Airport Transportation

There are many options available to make your connection from the London City Airport to London. Buses, underground stations, and taxis are all waiting to take you where you need to go.

You can catch a taxi outside the terminal building. The trip to central London will take about half an hour. If you are driving your own car to the airport you can follow these intstructions: North London is accessible from the A406. If you’re coming from South London you need the Blackwall Tunnel. East London access uses the A13 and the M11 uses the A406. If you’re traveling the Limehouse Link Tunnel, you will be about 8 miles from the West End of London and 6 miles from the Bank of England.

There is a connection between the airport shuttle buses, underground stations, and the Dockland Light Railway. Following is the bus schedule…

The Green Bus travels every 5 minutes between Canning Town and the airport, Monday through Saturday. Travel time is 5 minutes. Hours of operation are 06:00 to 22:00 M-F, with shortened hours of 06:00 to 13:00 Saturday and 10:00 to 22:00 on Sunday

The Blue Bus travels between Liverpool Street and the airport from 06:15 to 22:00 M-F, 6:15 to 13:10 Saturday and 10:30 to 22:00 Sunday. This trip via the Canary Wharp takes about 25 minutes.

Bus No. 69 will take you from Walthamstow to North Woolwich while Bus 473 will take you from Stratford to North Woolwich.
