The city of Porto Vecchio is a fascinating natural seaside resort, located at the distance of 25kms from the magnificent Bonifacio. The city center doesn’t have much to offer. The impressive fortress and interwoven old streets joining the place de la République is worth a look. Corsica is not connected to any major air routes, but you can travel from continental Europe to reach the island. Most tourists prefer French connecting airports. The airport of Nice is closest to the Porto Vecchio. You can also travel by sea and in this case you can travel from Nice-Calvi/Île Rousse, which is the cheapest and shortest route. It usually takes car ferries about 9 hours to reach Corsica. Some ferries also depart from Toulon and Marseille on the mainland, docking in Ajaccio and Bastia. From here you can easily reach
