When we talk about public transport, we do not think that its only purpose is to take us directly from one point to another, in this case we focus on buses for those who don’t know the town very well and wish to get to know it better. Buses are an excellent alternative in addition to that Stockholm has one of the most economical means of transport available.
It is common knowledge that the Swedes worry about pollution, having therefore initiated a ground-breaking project in the alternative use of fuel, which started at the beginning of the eighties. In recent years the buses that travel through the centre of Stockholm are strictly on ethanol or biogas which reduces the carbon dioxide emissions by up to ninety per cent.
The public transport in Stockholm is the responsibility of the SL (Storstockholms Lokaltrafik). SL’s main concern is the speed, quality, waiting time and comfort of passengers. Stockholm operates two bus lines blue and red. Each line planned with a permanent access connection to other means of available transportation than can lead you to other points of the city.
Stockholm has one of the best public transportation systems in Europe, with more than one hundred subway stations and bus stops that it takes us to any point, allowing us to always have a public transport at your disposal.

You can obtain tickets at tourist points of information, hotels and subway stations. You can also buy tickets for one or more days, for interconnection with other transports and for free entrance to Museums.
