The trams may be old but are spacious and great fun to admire the town. The most popular and reliable line is the “The Djurgården line” this tram can take you from Norrmalmstorg to the natural beauty of Djurgården, here you will find the Vasa Museum, the Nordic Museum, Junibacken (the Astrid Lindgren Museum), the Open-Air Museum at Skansen, the Gröna Lund Amusement Park, the Hasselbacken Restaurant and the beautifully situated Waldemarsudde and Rosendal.
It is probably one of the most expensive methods of travel around compared to the bus, train, subway or bike. But just like all the methods of transport mentioned you don’t have to worry about where you are going to park your car, saving you time. The tram is a frequent and efficient way to get around town or view the countryside
Another great thing, when you buy a tram ticket is that you can use that same ticket for admissions at the Museums meaning you will make a saving and with over with over seventy- four Museums in Stockholm it is no surprise that they have “The Swedish national tramway Museum” the oldest tram is from 1903 and the newest is from 1950.
There are tram rides through the countryside and on the Djurgårdslinjen Line you can rent trams for special occasions. It has been known to have been rented from excursions, kick off meetings to birthday parties. The trams have been around for many years in Stockholm, since 1903, but they are still going extremely strong.
