Since Stockholm is located on several islands and has over fifty bridges connecting it, is no wonder that a popular means of transport is a boat. With a Stockholm card you can get free sightseeing on selected tours. This sightseeing boat in particular, comes in different lengths and sizes and you can even get headphones to listen to your guide as you go along.
This is a good way to go if you want to travel via water and are going from one island to other. The boat leaves every hour, daily between 26th June and the 27th August. The prices are depending on the number of stops you can take the whole trip (which takes about an hour) or make one- two stops.
There are several different boat tours that you can take. The island race tour is in a very modern and colorful Speedo. Throughout the trip you will be advised of the places that you have gone past and which ones you are about to go to, the departure point for this tour is Stromkajen, Royal Palace.
If you are visiting in the winter you can also take a winter tour, this takes you through the inner side of the Archipelago, this might not be very pleasant due to the fact that when it is cold the water is iced and the boat crushes through the ice. The other boat rides are “under the bridge of Stockholm” the “Royal Canal Tour” the “the open top boat tour” and the “historical canal tour”. You have lots of different rides, for lots of different styles.
