With so many things to do in Stockholm and so much to see with so many different means of transportation, why not go the old fashion way? Yes, you can rent a bicycle in Stockholm. Renting a bike is fairly cheap, easy to access and easy to drop off. This way you can exercise and get in touch with nature. In Stockholm there are so many ways to get around and there aren’t that many cars, therefore you have more room to ride your bike and less room for accidents (we can only hope).
You need to be over the age of eighteen to rent a bike and while the bike is in your possession you need to comply with all the traffic regulations. It is not recommended that you leave your bike unattended and that you use your own lock to lock the bike. All of the bikes that are rented need to be left at a bike station. There are over 160 bike stations in Stockholm, so it is relatively easy to find a bike stand. It is old fashioned (and may I add, healthy) to ride a bike however, it is surprising how technology looks after the bikes safety, when you return your bike, you need to stand next to it and wait for the lights to go green to red.
The season cards are valid between the 1st of April and 31st of October and you can only rent a bike for a maximum of three hours, which is just enough to get your heart going for all of the other attractions.
