Stonehenge is a prehistoric monument to the memory of those laborers who dragged 40-ton sarsens (large sandstone blocks) from Marlborough Downs and other parts of England to the site about 5000 years ago. The accomplishment of those who designed and built Stonehenge remains a subject of wonderment as this building continues to live on.

The tour moves on to Bath a lovely city famous for its beautiful terraces and architecture. After a tour of the city we visit the 2000 year old Roman Baths and then on toward Stratford. We pass through Cotswolds viewing the dried stone, walls punctuating the landscape of the magnificent countryside. Cotswolds is alive with chatter coming from markets scattered about. The sight of perpendicular churches is an uplifting sight for many.

Arriving in Stratford-upon-Avon, the tour continues to the birthplace of William Shakespeare. The site is the present home of the famous Royal Shakespeare Company. A private tour through the birthplace museum of William Shakespeare ends in the garden for a champagne reception. Imagine sipping champagne and eating strawberry scones in the birthplace of William Shakespeare where this tour ends. A short visit to Holy Trinity Church the burial site of Shakespeare and the ride back to London begins.

This tour arrives back in London at approximately 8:00pm.
