Cheap Flights to Montpellier Mediterranee Airport, France (MPL)

Montpellier Méditerranée Airport is France’s ninth largest in size and has a capacity to serve of over one million passengers a year. It is located five miles (eight kilometres) southeast of Montpellier City.

The airport operates one terminal, which provides ample passenger facilities. There is an information desk at the centre of the terminal which can provide assistance to passengers. ATMs can be found in the Arrivals Hall next to the information desk, and telephones are located throughout the terminal. A nursery is provided in the basement of the Arrivals Hall.

Two bars are located in the Departure and Arrivals halls, respectively. The gourmet restaurant La Terrasse du Sud in the Arrivals Hall dishes up Mediterranean cuisine in less than 30 minutes. A newsagent, tobacconist and gift shop is conveniently located in the Departures Hall at Gate C. A wine store offering regional varieties can be found in the Arrivals Hall at Door A. There is also an airport hotel at the airport’s entrance, featuring sound-proofed rooms and a swimming pool.

Transport options to and from Montpellier include scheduled airport buses which coincide with flight arrival and departure times. Taxis are also on hand and are easily found as you leave the Arrivals Hall. The trip into the city by car takes around 30 minutes. Alternatively, you can pick up a pre-booked hire car at the airport and drive yourself.

Three car parks are available at the airport, all of which are within easy walking distance of the terminal. Car parks P2 and P3 are recommended for short-term parking, while P4 is recommended for long-term parking. For guarded parking services, Car Hôtel is on hand in car park P0.
