The Château Latour makes up to 40,000 cases of wine per year and has 65 hectares of vineyard. The vines are 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot and about 2 or 3 % cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot.

The Saint-Andre Cathedral has only the remains of a single wall of the Original Romanesque building. The Royal Gate is still standing from the early 13th century while the rest of the structure is mostly from the 14th or 15th century. The Cathedral is now part of the World Heritage Sites of the Routes of Santiago de Compostela in France.

If you’re more into stores and shopping the Rue Sainte-Catherine is a 1.2 km street used for pedestrianized shopping. The strip not only has many shops it also features restaurants and cafes.

The Rue Sainte-Catherine is the longest shopping street in all of Europe and the shops become more and more upscale as you move towards Place de la Comedia by the opera house. This is a beautiful city that you will want to see every part of so don’t waste time figuring out transportation. You should look into renting a car hire while you stay in the lovely city of Bordeaux.
