Cheap Flights to Port Elizabeth Airport, South Africa (PLZ)

The airport is held within the confines of the city of Port Elizabeth, 5km (3 miles) west of the Business District and 3km (2 miles) from Algoa Bay. It is said that all major areas of Port Elizabeth are within a ten minute drive.

Terminals and check-In
Port Elizabeth has only one terminal.

Airport facilities
There are cafés in the Arrivals and Departures halls and a restaurant on the first floor of the Departures hall. Baby changing facilities are available in the ladies toilets in the Arrivals and Departures halls.

Business and meetings
There is a conference room in the Aero Park Block B which is situated 200m (250 yards) from the Arrivals hall. The conference room can seat 25-30 people and the equipment offered includes a television, video, overhead projector and white boards. Telephones are available in the Arrivals and Departures halls and in the sterile area.

Shopping and money
There is an ATM located in the passage between the Arrivals and Departures halls and the information desk operates a bureau de change facility. There is a post box in the Departures hall where also a gift shop and a sweet shop located there.

Disability assistance
The airport offers accessible toilets for disabled travellers and lifts are available to the first floor. It is advised that travellers that may need extra assistance contact the information desk (tel: (0)41 507 7319).

There is an information desk in the Arrivals hall (tel: (0)41 507 7319). Hotels and sightseeing excursions can be booked at the desk.

Airport Transportation
By taxi
Metered taxis are available outside the Departures hall.

By car
If driving from the city centre take Route M11 from Humewood into Alister Miller Drive. The terminal is then on the left-hand side of the road.

By bus.
Shuttle services are available on demand by booking in advance at the Arrivals hall. These operate according to flight schedules and passengers can also book their return journey to the airport in advance.
Parking
Open and shaded short-term car parking, which is up to 8 hours, and open and shaded long-term parking is available. Covered parking and lock-up garages are all available (tel: (0)41 581 0588). These are located in front of the terminal building.
